Donald Paul Stecklein Sr., 67, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019, at OU Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.
He was born February 8, 1952, in La Crosse, Kansas, to Paul Henry and Caroline Carrie (Pfeifer) Stecklein.
On February 14, 2005, at the Garden Of Love Chapel in Las Vegas, he married Jocelyn Palomo.
Don prided himself in his work ethic and perfectionism. He loved to tinker with everything, travel especially to the Philippines, attend movies and concerts of all kinds. He was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia, neon light signs and arcade video games. There was nothing Don loved more than the refreshing taste of a Coca-Cola and being surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by them.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jocelyn of almost 15 years; children: Wendy and husband Wade DePriest of Mooreland, Angie and husband Layne Longhofer of Woodward, Donnie and wife Leslie Stecklein of Norman; grandchildren: Lawrence DePriest, Christopher DePriest and his two children, Dillon and wife Kelsey Jordan and their three children, Colton Jordan, Jessica Jordan and her child, Haley and husband Tyler Dezort and their two children, Pvt. Andrew Todd, Caidan Stecklein, Kaitlin Stecklein, Cason Stecklein; sister: Donna and husband Larry Palmer of Alva, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Kenneth Stecklein.
A Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel, Norman.
