Opal was a loving mother and active in the PTA when her children were in school. She enjoyed gardening and deep sea fishing with her husband, spending many happy vacations in Morro Bay. Later in life, she provided child care in her home and is fondly remembered by those she cared for.
Opan is preceded in death by her husband, Dick Stanier and brother, Joe Holladay. She is survived by her sisters, Sallie Schmidt, Nina Trent and Eula Fay Walker; her sister-in-law. Colleen Small; her children, son, Gary Stanier and his wife, Katie; daughters, Kathryn Stanier and Linda Stanier Crowder and her husband, Brad; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
All of those whose lives Opal touched will forever treasure her memory.
"While the Earth will weep on the day of your passing, Heaven will begin its celebration."
