LaVerne (Neinast) Stanhope
July 5, 1921 ~ December 4, 2020 (age 99)

LaVerne Neinast Stanhope was born July 5, 1921, to Oscar and Alma Neinast on the family farm, in Sagerton, Texas. She died in peace on December 4, 2020, at her daughter's home in Duncan, Oklahoma where she came to live in 2016.

She married Bill Stanhope on November 7, 1945, after he served in the Army during WWII. They lived in Sagerton, Texas until 1964, moving to Stamford, Texas.

She retired from Stamford Electric Co-op as Office Manager in June 1990.

She was known for her faith in God, wonderful attitude, great laughter and sense of humor, sweet disposition, appreciative nature, and strong work ethic.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis and husband Richard Faulkner of Duncan; grandson, Kevin Faulkner of San Francisco; nephew, Col. Ted Dwaine Connally and wife Beth Connally of San Antonio; niece, Carol Hemphill of New York; and nephew, Larry and wife Joan Cronk of New Mexico.

There will be a small service for her at All Saints Episcopal Church chapel, Duncan. Services are pending at this time.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" service in Sagerton, Texas, when friends and family can safely come together.
