Jacob Leonard Stanard was born on May 16, 1981 to John and Laree Stanard in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and passed away on November 5, 2019 in Taloga, OK at the age of 38 years old.
He grew up in the Washington community and graduated from Washington High School in 2000. While he lived most of his life around Washington, he and his family had recently relocated to Taloga, OK where they were welcomed with open arms and he immediately started building friendships.
Jake never met a stranger and all who knew him considered him a true friend. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and great outdoorsman. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. Jake’s pride and joy were his 2 boys…Brandon and Jaxon along with his wife Pam. They were his world.
Jake had a true servant’s heart and served many years as a volunteer fireman for the Cole Community. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.
Jake was a “master mechanic”. If you broke it, he could fix it. He took great pride in his work and insisted on quality and giving it your all. Those who were fortunate enough to have Jake do anything for them understand. He was the real deal with a quick wit and a heart of gold. There was something special about him that words simply can’t describe.
Jake is survived by his wife Pam, sons Brandon and Jaxon, his mother and father, John and Laree Stanard, brothers Jes and Justin, grandparents, John and Jean Slovak and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends. He had a very special bond with friends Harold and Sheila Vaughn (and family) and even though they were friends, he considered them family.
Jake made an impact on so many on this earth and will be greatly missed. While the loss is unimaginable, heaven gained an angel.
