Funeral services for James Kelley Stallings Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Kirk officiating. He will be cremated at his request after the service under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

James Kelley Stallings Jr., son of James Kelley Stallings Sr. and Jesse Lee (Fulcher) Luna, was born November 24, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and passed away March 16, 2023, in Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 42 years, 3 months and 25 days.

Jimmy graduated from Alva High School. He was a talented football player in his high school years as an Alva Goldbug, wearing the No. 27 jersey for four years. He was fast and agile, played end, quarterback, and could kick the ball halfway down the field.

He was a meat stocker and worked at WalMart.

He took pride in helping younger children in the Little Olympics when they staged the meets at the NWOSU track in his younger years. He liked helping children.

As an avid sports enthusiast, he loved OU football and the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, dirt bikes, listening to country music, and fixing cars. He took after his grandpa, Jesse Fulcher, and loved riding bulls and broncos. He loved having his dogs around him all the time. His three nieces were a very important part of his life. He liked eating Captain Crunch Cereal and drinking chocolate milk. He had a pure and giving heart and would do anything for his brother, Franklin, and sister, Sophia. He would always find something to smile about and his laugh was contagious. He made everyone around him comfortable and made friends easily.

Jimmy is survived by his father, James Kelley Stallings Sr. and wife Marilyn; his mother, Jesse Lee Luna and husband, Maurico; his brothers, Chris Stallings and wife, Dhonne, of Rowlett, Texas, Mark Stallings and wife, Dusty, of Kremlin, Oklahoma, and Franklin Henderson, Jr. and wife, Latia, of Aurora, Colorado; his sister, Sophia Henderson of Aurora, Colorado.

He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Marcela and Danny Cecil of Seattle, Washington, Patricia and Loy Storm of Santa Anna, Texas, Jane and Red Brown of Tyler, Texas, and Frances Fulcher of Louisville, Kentucky; his nieces and nephews, Jayana and Kailani Henderson of Aurora, Colorado, Aaliyah Henderson of Aurora, Colorado, Draden Stallings of Kremlin, Andy Macey of Denver, Colorado, Chloe Macey of Ames, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Macey of Oklahoma City; nine cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the NWOSU Foundation for the NWOSU rodeo team.
