Jay Spray

Jay Spray
December 10, 1958 ~ August 26, 2018

Jay was born on December 10, 1958, in Chandler, Oklahoma, to Lawrence and Evana (Rolen) Spray. Jay grew up in Stilwell, Oklahoma, and was a 1977 graduate of Stilwell High School. In 1982, he graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Jay worked in social services for 34 years and helped many people. Jay was married to his high school sweetheart Jacqueline (Stanley) Spray on January 19, 1979. Their union was blessed with four children: Jason, Joshua, Janna, and Joseph.

Jay trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 14 and served Him faithfully all his life. He loved the Lord and was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church in Highland, Arkansas.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Charity Joy Spray.

Jay leaves behind a wonderful heritage and spiritual legacy in his four children and 22 grandchildren: Jason Spray, wife Lea Ann, and children Caleb, Naomi, Gideon, Gabrriel, Olivia, Benaiah, Bethany and Verity Spray, all of Melbourne, Arkansas; Joshua Spray of Ash Flat, Arkansas; Janna (Spray) Praught, husband Timothy and children Laura, Rachel, Maria, Victor, Charlotte, Jennavieve, Valor, and Addilyn Praught, all of Smithville, Arkansas; Joseph Spray, wife Lisa and Children Wesley, L.T., Liberty, Rolen, Shiloh, and Judah Spray, all of Ash Flat, Arkansas. Jay also leaves behind two brothers, James Spray and John Spray, and a host of family and friends.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donation be made to the Friendship Baptist Youth Camp. Arrangements entrusted to Worth Funeral Home and Cremation of Highland, Ark.
