James Edwin “Jimmy” Spradling, a resident of Sulphur, was born April 19, 1948 in Sulphur, OK to John C. and Mildred (Talley) Spradling. He passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Oklahoma City at the age of 71 years 7 months and 18 days. He was married to Pamela (Parker) Spradling at Ardmore, OK on October 30, 2007.
An electrician by trade, Jimmy lived most of his life in the Sulphur area. He graduated from Sulphur High School before serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) during the Vietnam Era. He later attended East Central University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Spradling; daughter, Heather Givens; son, William Spradling; and brother-in-law Jack Fisher.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Pamela; sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Parker, James Parker, James Spradling and Robert (Kathryn) Inman; sister, Jan Fisher and brother, John (Beverly) Spradling; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jeremy) Traylor, Kaylan, Jacob, Eddie, Coda, Tyson, Jaxon and Allisyn; great-grandchildren, Karli, Jayden, Ryla and Wyatt.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00AM at Vinita Avenue Church of Christ in Sulphur, officiated by Danny Stewart. Military Service by US Navy Honors Team.
