Hazel JoAnn (Moore) Spradlin

Hazel JoAnn (Moore) Spradlin
Sep 15, 1937 ~ Nov 22, 2016

Hazel "JoAnn" (Moore) Spradlin went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 22, 2016, while at her home in Bartlesville, OK at the age of 79. JoAnn was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Grundy County, MO, to Chester and Mildred (Barnett) Moore. She attended Trenton, MO, schools and graduated from Trenton High School in 1956. She married James "Jim" R. Spradlin on June 21, 1959 in Trenton. They were married 56 years before Jim preceded her in death May 2016.

JoAnn worked in Kansas City until moving to Independence, KS, with Jim where they began their own business, Jim's Custom Kitchens in 1976 and later moved it to Bartlesville. She enjoyed working in the family business along with daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Greg Reich, until Jim's health declined and she became his full-time caregiver.

JoAnn had many interests - she loved reading and doing all kinds of crafts. She loved to travel and go camping whenever they could. She enjoyed her friends at Cooper Dog Park where she took her buddy Alvin the dachshund when she was able. Most of all she loved her family and her only grandson Josh, and spending as much time as possible with them.

JoAnn was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Independence, KS. Upon moving to Bartlesville, she transferred her membership to Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church. For many years, she enjoyed helping teach with her daughter the Sunday School class of three-year-olds.

JoAnn is survived by her daughter Teresa Reich and Greg, and grandson Josh Reich, all of Bartlesville. She is also survived by one sister Lois Higgins of Princeton, MO, and Lois's sons Mark and David along with their families.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister Betty Call.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 12th, at the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences and memories may be shared with JoAnn's family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com
