Richard H. Spoelstra "Big Rick" was born January 5, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK. He departed this life September 7, 2010 surrounded by family and friends,
Rick leaves behind the love of his life Rhonda Marshall Spoelstra; his children Stephani Spoelstra Frady, Richard Spoelstra, Leslie Spoelstra Green, Monica Spoelstra, Johnny Molloy, and Tiffany Stanfiel; and his grandchildren Toni Renee Giddens, Mikayla Dawn Green, Colby Gage Spoelstra, Valerie Rose Spoelstra, Preston Scott Spoelstra, Johnny Molloy Jr., Kyli Molloy, and Christa Stanfiel.
He was preceded in death by his son Christopher David Spoelstra, mother Pat Richburg Spoelstra, father Marion Spoelstra, and brother Mark Spoelstra.
Rick was a Vietnam veteran and survivor and very proud of his country. He was a son, husband, and father, a brother, friend, a colleague, and a s.o.b. He was top of the line, bottom of the line, either you liked him or you didn't. He will always be remembered by the good, the bad, and the ugly.
A memorial service will be held at the VFW, Post 4578 in Guthrie, OK on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Arrangements were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
