Harold Spencer, age 64, died on Thursday July 28, 2011 at his residence in Eucha, Oklahoma.
Harold was the son of Hubert and Vesta "Irene" (Allen) Spencer; he was born on April 22, 1947 in Maysville, Arkansas. Harold graduated from Jay High school in 1965, he attended college both at Oklahoma State and NSU, and he also proudly served in the United States Army. Harold married the love of his life Gloria Earp on June 4, 1966 in Jay, Oklahoma. Harold worked as a telephone cable technician for Grand Telephone Company for twenty-five years. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing for bass, crappie and perch. He was the champion of the Gigging Tournament several times. Harold loved to piddle in his garden, go camping, hunting mushrooms and cook.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Lee Spencer.
Harold is survived by his wife Gloria, four daughters Nicole Feagan and her husband Aaron of Jay, Jamie Lincoln and her husband Sam of Edmond, Kim Adkins and her husband Brian of Jay and Chelsea Spencer of the home, he was blessed with nine grandchildren Brandon Leonard, Spencer Leonard, Connor Lincoln, Darian Lincoln, Brooke Payton, Jason Payton, Levi Payton, Samantha Adkins and Trenton Adkins. Harold also is survived by two brothers Archie Spencer and his wife Jane, and Daryle Spencer and his wife Cathy of Miami.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Mt. Hermon Church with Reverend Dewey Stanford officiating. Harold will be laid to rest at the Maysville Cemetery.
