Carla Jean Sparks passed away on May 7, 2023.
Born August 24, 1964, in Enid, OK, she is preceded in death by her parents, John Junior Sparks and Helen Magers.
She is survived by her brothers, Scott Sparks and Darren Sparks; sisters, Keiarah Johnston, Tammey Sparks-Ussery (James), Becky Lucas (Cleve), Collen Madere, Amanda Holt (Dave); and many nieces and nephews.
Carla cherished her family. She took great care of her parents and assisted them during their last days. She delighted in watching her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews grow and showered them with unconditional love.
She leaves behind a great many friends who could always rely on her and who have been forever enriched by her love and kindness.
Carla had a special bond with her pets, whom she considered as part of her family: Cats, dogs, birds, mice, a goat, and especially bearded dragons.
She graduated from Drummond High School and became a Home Health Aide and a Certified Nursing Assistant. In this work she impacted the lives of her patients and their families. Carla will forever be remembered for her love and compassion.
The family will hold private services and kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the ASPCA.
