Fannie Sorrells, 84 of Woodward quietly passed away September 22, 2017 in Mooreland. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Free Will Baptist Church under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Fannie Pearl (Ragsdale) Sorrells was born on May 10, 1933 to Lola Pearl (Hayworth) and Guy Cecil Ragsdale in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. She attended school and graduated from Harjo High School in Tecumseh. Fannie was married to Charles F. (Sam) Sorrells in 1951. They were blessed with four children, Samuel Ferrell; Lola Carol; Mary Lorraine; and Terry Joe.
Fannie was known for her beehive hairstyle and hard work at the Woodward Elks Lodge, her passion for sports, and her kindness to make you feel like family.
Fannie is survived by her children, Lola Ward and husband David; Mary Butler; Terry Sorrells and wife Tina; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Charles Ragsdale; GC Ragsdale Jr.; Bivian Simon; Ida Spillman; son, Samuel Sorrells.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Mooreland Heritage Manor for their loving care of Fannie for the last six years and Faith Hospice.
Memorial contributions may be made to Free Will Baptist Church - Mission Trip to Israel with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
