Sarah McCloskey Curtis Somaduroff of West Hills, California pass away February 16, 2004 at Tarzana Medical Center after bravely fighting cancer for nearly three months at home. Sarah was born in Oklahoma and lived in Los Angeles for over 60 years. Sarah graduated from Marymount School in 1951, and in 1952 was initiated into the Delta Gamma Fraternity.
In 1953 Sarah married Mr. Robert A. Curtis of Westlake, California and had six children. In 1985 she married Mr. Walter J. Somaduroff and gained two stepchildren, Carol and John. Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, and will be greatly missed by all.
Sarah is survived by her current husband; her six adoring children; Kevin (Jan) Curtis, Suzanne (Jim) Payne, Michael (Kathy) Curtis, Katie Curtis, Meg Curtis-Roa (Barry). Kime Cirtos-Mpgpsel (Blair); stepmother, Alice McCloskey, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces and nephews from the Mallers, Sharar and Curtis families, and many, many friends.
A Memorial Mass at St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic Church, 24410 Calvert Street, Woodland Hills, will be led by Father McNamara on Saturday, February 21st, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will immediately follow for friends and family. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be private.
