Dennis Edwin Snyder (Denny) passed away on January 9, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82. Denny was born to Theron Edwin Snyder and Ellnora Cole Snyder on December 15, 1939 in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Denny received a Bachelors degree in mathematics from St. Benedict College and another Bachelors degree in engineering from Kansas State University, which led him to a career as an Electrical Engineer with CH Guernsey and then open his own business, Utilities Consulting Services. On June 15, 1963, Denny married Barbara Joanne Bartlett and they raised three beautiful children together. He belonged to Big Brothers of Zanesville, Ohio, and was an award winning speaker for Toastmasters International. He enjoyed painting, wood working, puzzles and crosswords, reading, animals, and traveling. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Denny was preceded in death by his father, Theron Snyder; mother, Ellnora Snyder; brothers, Tim Snyder, and Jon Snyder; and sister, Suzi Cole Hiett.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Denise Snyder, and Kristine Odden; son, Paul Snyder; granddaughters, Mikayla Thomas, Meriah Richardson, and Morgan Richardson; great granddaughter, Aria Thomas; son-in-laws, Cadet Odden, Brodie Thomas, and Branden Mackie; daughter- in- law, Kea Snyder; brother Joel Snyder; sisters Kathy Kittrell and Linda Wassinger; aunt Rosemary Cole; and his beloved pets Fred, Freya, Gretchen, Calico, and Megan.
