Jack David Snowden was born October 3, 1958 in Anderson, Indiana to Jack Lee and Georgia Jane (Hitchcock) Snowden. He went peacefully asleep at home and woke up in Heaven on May 17, 2019.
Jack grew up in Anderson, Indiana attending Brentwood Elementary followed by Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In 1966, Jack was led to the Lord with the guidance of his mother. The family moved to Farmers Branch, Texas in 1974 and Jack graduated from Heritage Christian Academy in 1977. He attended two semesters of college but decided to pursue a career in water and wastewater. In his more than 25 years in the business, he obtained licenses in water and wastewater to be an operator and for laboratory. During his career, he was an operator, laboratory technician, laboratory director and started up and operated a wastewater plant. For the last 15 and one half years he and Karen, whom he married in 1999, have owned and operated Snowden Cleaning Service. The last two years he also had the joy of loving, laughing with and helping educate children as a substitute teacher for the Stilwell Public Schools.
Jack is proceeded in death by his parents and stepmother Robbye Snowden.
He is survived by his wife Karen of the home, brother Dan (Nong) Snowden of Plano, Texas, sisters Helen (Billy) Foster of Killeen, Texas and Jan (Phil) Goff of Gentry, Arkansas, stepsister Debra Doss of San Antonio, stepbrother David (Liz) Doss of New Braunsfels, Texas and stepsister Dayna (Robert) Parker of San Antonio, Texas. Three cousins; Bobby (Brenda) Willoughby, Drew (Sue) Willoughby and Greg (Terri) Waggoner,also, .brother-in-law JR Ganson of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and sister-in-law Pam (Larry Dale) Rowan of Stilwell. Nieces and nephews Tiffeny (David) Stevenson, Jana Snowden, Jane Hawkins, Dina Figueroa, Joshua Hawkins, Ben Hawkins, John Little, Kristen (Matthew) Howard, Daniel (Kristen) Hawkins, Kristen (Matthew) Howard, Andrew (Kristen) Goff, Ellen (Spenser) Scroggins and Adam Goff along with step nephews and niece Kellen Kolbeck, Payton Doss and Lindsey Doss, nieces and nephew-in-law Amber (Greg) Jones, Heather (Will) Fraser and Joshua Smith and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
The Celebration Service for Jack will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:00 am. at the Rocky Mountain Bible Church, 462937 E. 830 Rd., in Stilwell. In lieu of flowers please give to your local church, for Gideon Bibles, missionaries or anywhere that GOD’s Word is proclaimed.
