A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Marlene Kasper Sneed, 75, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 12, 2020 at Deer Creek Baptist Church, 355960 E. 960 Rd. Stroud, Oklahoma.
Mary moved to her eternal home on September 6, 2020 from her earthly home in Sparks, Oklahoma. She was born November 21, 1944 to the late Aaron A. and Myrtle M. (Merkey) Kasper.
Mary was a graduate of Edmond High School, Class of 1963. She also graduated with the class of 1964/65 from Blackwood Business College, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mary was a faithful member of the Intertribal Voices of God Ministries in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
She loved doing things for others, loved to sing gospel music, and solve difficult puzzles and games. She always had a smile, even in trying times.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Henry Sneed; grandson, Joseph L. Nice; and granddaughter, Miranda Schoonover. She is survived by three daughters: Susan Nice of Sparks, Oklahoma; Marilyn (Chuck) Schoonover of Prague, Oklahoma; Karla (JR) Booth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sons: Edward Ames of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Thomas (Julie) Henderson of Del City, Oklahoma; and 2 grandsons whom she raised: Jon (Krystal) Nice of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and Daniel (Lea) Nice of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Martha Kasper Jones of Afton, Oklahoma; and one brother, David (Marie) Kasper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mary had lots of family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all.
There will also be a Celebration of Life service, hosted by Marilyn Schoonover, held on September 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with a 1-day camp out at Sparks America Campgrounds in Sparks, Oklahoma.
