It is with great sadness that the family of Gerri Smotherman announces her sudden passing, on Easter Sunday, April 1st 2018, at the age of 70 years.
Gerri Smotherman was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and veteran.
Gerri will be forever remembered by her husband of 24 years, Doug, her children, Sherry Trett of Verdigris, Oklahoma and LaDonna Earley of San Antonio, Texas, step- children Laurie Day of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Douglas Smotherman Jr. of Wiley, Texas, grandchildren, Brittaney, Courtney, Christina, Kaley, Chase, Hunter, Madison, Tyler, Austin and Braden, and by her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Frankie, Stella, Gabe, Owen, Daxton, Crayton, Weston, Piper, Mason, Luke, and Mila, and by her sisters and brother, Gladys, Irene, Jerry Ann and Jackie. Gerri will also be forever remembered by her extended family and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Tennessee Nelson and her Niece Christie.
A Celebration of Gerri's life will be held on April 6th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Buchanan's Funeral Home, 8712 N Council Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
