Memorial services for Thomas Lee Smith, 70, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Claud Baltimore will officiate.
Mr. Smith died Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home. He was born July 29, 1944 at Fort Smith, AR to George Walter and Rae Lucille Smith. He attended grade school in Ada and graduated from high school in Fort Smith. He and his family moved to this area in the late 1950's from Fort Smith. He attended East Central University.
He married Ruth Ann Morris on February 19, 1994. Mr. Smith served in the U. S. Air Force in Vietnam and the U. S. Army Special Operations and more recently the Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the National Infantry Association, the Order of Saint Maurice.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann, of the home; a daughter, Amber Annice Smith McCurdy of Ada; a son, Jason Lee Smith of Ada; three granddaughters, Jordan Jane Annice McCurdy, Albuquerque, NM, Taylor Jae Smith and Mikayla Hope Smith, both of San Antonio, TX; a grandson, Morgan Cain Adair McCurdy of Seattle, WA; and a sister, Sheila McLaughlin.
