Nora Lee Smith, 56, passed from this life on December 14, 2017, in Stillwater, OK. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering and dinner will follow for friends and family at Cottonwood Community Center on the corner of Cottonwood and Lakeview in Stillwater.
Nora was born on April 10, 1961, in Safford, AZ, to Calvert Wilson Smith and Lois Ann Dobson. She graduated from Safford High School in Arizona and attended Eastern Arizona College. She continued her studies at Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. She was employed as an Aerospace Engineer with Frontier Electronic Systems Corp. (FES) in Stillwater.
Nora was married one time, to Edwin Smith, of Perkins, and together they had one daughter.
Nora was an avid reader who also enjoyed music and attending concerts with her family. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
She is preceded in death by both parents; sister, Jamie Dobson and long time best friend Jodi Englebert-Holt.
Nora is survived by two sons, Aaron Cody Smith and Kyle Smith; two daughters, Amanda Cross and Andrea Smith; step-father, Edward Roger Dobson; three granddaughters, Alexandria and Anya Cross and Gabriella Eskew; five brothers, Calvert Smith, John Dobson, Kelly Dobson, Edward "Mike" Dobson and Roger "Dale" Dobson; four sisters, Stella Dobson, Alta Lynn Graves, Leslie Crusha and Teri Smith; her boyfriend, Edward Jay Apperson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
