Mozelle Smith, 82 of Norman passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born January 20, 1932 in Friona, Texas to Hubert and Myrl Jane (Crane) Faulks.
She married H.E. Smith, Jr. on December 25, 1948 in Gould, Oklahoma. Together they raised four children. Mozelle was a member of the local Delta Kappa Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International. Mozelle worked in the health profession as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Mozelle was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mae Reed, Billie Sills, and Janelle Faulks; her daughter, Debra Hector; and her nephew, Jimmy Faulks. She is survived by her husband, H.E. Smith, Jr.; her two sons, Randy Smith, Fred Smith and Linda Brinkley; her daughter, LaDonna Smith; son-in-law, John Hector; her two brothers, Sonny Faulks and Bobby Faulks; her four grandchildren, April Perry and husband Joe, Angie Hector and Denise Meyer, Jarrod Baxter, and Tim Baxter and Amanda Vollmer; her three great grandchildren, Jake Perry, Ethan Perry, and Dillon Baxter; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation for Mozelle will be 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 at Havenbrook Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Funeral services for Mozelle will begin at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman.
Memorials may be made in memory of Mozelle to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org or charity of choice.
Arrangements for Mozelle and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at www.HavenbrookFuneralHome.com.
