Service for Lucille Hurn Smith, age 94, of Olney, IL will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Olney, Illinois on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Scott Carlson will officiate.
Lucille Hurn Smith was born April 13, 1911 in Olney, Illinois the daughter of Luther and Huldah [Koertge] Hurn and died Sunday, May 8, 2005 in Olney, Il.
Mrs. Smith was married to David B. Smith, Jr. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2001.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a graduate of the University of Illinois. She was past International President of the PEO Sisterhood. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Survivors include: two children: son, David P. (Pilot) Smith who resides in Olney, IL, son: Mark Hurn Smith of Chickasha, Oklahoma, one brother: John D. Hurn with his wife Vera who resides in Olney, IL; one granddaughter: Melinda A. Smoth, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10th at the home of John and Vera Hurn.
Interment will be at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.
Memorials may be made to the PEO Sisterhood Educational Fund.
