Kathleen Mary “Kathy” (Bardaro) Smith
February 15, 1945 ~ May 22, 2025

Kathleen “Kathy” Mary Smith, 80, of Oklahoma City, passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born on February 15, 1945, in Queens, New York, to Frank and Margaret Bardaro.

Kathy was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family and her heritage. With roots tracing back to Palermo, Italy, Kathy took great pride in her Italian ancestry and expressed that love through cooking. She was known for preparing delicious, hearty Italian meals that brought family and friends together around the table.

Kathy had a passion for gardening and music, and she especially enjoyed sharing meals and laughter with her friends at Town Village. Alongside her beloved husband Wendell, Kathy was actively involved with Life Group South and served in children’s ministry through the Royal Rangers Program at Living Word Church. She was a warm and welcoming presence, always ready to make newcomers feel at home and part of the family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rod Cummings and Ralene Wright; her siblings, Jim Bardaro (Myra), Trudy Bardaro, Nancy Minshew, and Frank Bardaro (Michelle); nephews James and Jeff Bardaro, Eric Neely, and Frank Bardaro, Jr.; as well as many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Wendell Smith, and her nephew Chad Minshew.

Her legacy of love, hospitality, and faith lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
