Johnathan Edward Smith passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Oklahoma City. He was 34 years old. A funeral ceremony for Johnathan will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Friends and loved ones may pay their respects at Trout Funeral Home on Sunday, December 22nd from 1-8pm.
Johnathan was born in Ponca City on December 9, 1985 and graduated high school with the PoHi class of 2004. He loved fishing and enjoyed spending time with his family. Johnathan was a kind-hearted soul who would give anyone in need the shirt off of his back. Strangers quickly became friends for Johnathan with his charming and caring personality. He could make anyone laugh, even if they seemed down.
Johnathan is survived by his parents, Sharon and Robert Lawler, father, Mark Smith of Alva, OK, siblings, Jeanne Erickson and husband Thomas Tallchief, Shelby Smith of Alva, OK, and Dillon Smith of Alva, OK, grandmother, Shirley Smith of Alva, aunts and uncles, John Erickson, Bob and Linda Clampitt of Edmond, OK, Darren Smith of Oklahoma City, and Mike and Connie Erickson, nieces and nephews, Trevon Triplett, Kanye Triplett, and Raquel Erickson, Ke Asia Williams, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Charlene Erickson.
Johnathan's good nature touched many lives and he will be missed by those lucky enough to have shared a laugh with him.
