Janet L. Smith passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. A come and go dinner to celebrate her life will be held April 2nd from 6-8 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Kimbley Thompson. All are welcome to attend. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Janet Lynne Smith was born February 19, 1949 in Bartlesville to Burl and Beulah "Boots" (Kirk) Kimbley. Janet worked for many years as an employee of Washington County. She loved the outdoors, all animals and in particular, anything that had feathers. She was a devoted friend who had a heart of gold that never met a stranger. Janet had a tremendous love for her children and especially her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her two daughters; Charlie and husband Scott Dean of Tulsa and Kimbley Thompson of Bartlesville. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Taylor and Tori Dean, Isabella, Kendrix and Jayson Thompson along with one great grandchild, Harper Dean. Also surviving are two brothers; Kenny Kimbley and wife Judy, Tommy Kimbley, step-mother, Delores Kimbley, step-sister, Glenda Chaffee, step-brother, Duane Scott and countless other treasured family and friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and step-sister, Connie Deckard.
