Clayton Eugene Smith, 68, of Blanchard, died March 9, 2012, at his home. The son of Helen (Waggner) and William Loyd Smith, he was born December 28, 1943 in Norman, Oklahoma.
He served our country in the U.S. Navy. Clayton married Fran Holder on March 18, 1967 in Newcastle. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Smith; and a sister, Carol Chappell.
Clayton is survived by his wife, Fran Smith of Blanchard; son, William Smith of Blanchard; daughter, Jannette Barta and husband, Jim, of Blanchard; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Calvin Smith and wife, Dana, of Colorado; sisters, Barbara Kuykendall and husband, Frank, of Lindsay and Clovis Allen and husband, Tommy, of Texas; many other relatives and friends.
