Cecil "Alan" Smith, 70, of Tecumseh OK passed away peacefully May 11th, 2024. He was born October 28, 1953 in Clinton, OK to his father Bill Smith and his mother Vaunciel Albin.

Alan spent the majority of his adulthood as a cable man providing communication services across the country. After living in multiple places, Alan and his family settled in Tecumseh, Oklahoma where he and his three children have called home for the last 30 years.

He was a loving father and the best papa for his grandchildren as that was his greatest joy in life. Alan was known for his kindness. He knew no stranger and would talk to anyone, even on his toughest days, he kept a smile on his face and treated others well.

Alan is survived by his daughter, Desiree Fomin 30, two sons, Derek Dean 40, and Gage Sandlin 35, nine grandchildren, mother Vaunciel Albin 88, and father Bill Smith 91.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Sparks officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh, OK.
