Bobby Joe Smith known to many as "Boo Boo" son of Johnny Jason Price Smith and Juanita Famas Kimble was born August 4, 1944 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and departed this life on May 11, 2012 in Bunch, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 7 days.
Bobby loved his horses and dogs he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a ranch manager at 6 X 6 Deer Ranch for many years. He worked for Tyson for 15 years. Some of his greatest times were spent with family especially his grandkids who would affectionately call him "Pie Pie".
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister; Mina Fay Smith.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Phyllis Smith of the Home in Bunch, OK, 5 children; Melinda Boston and husband Lanny of Joshua, TX, Vivian Ketcher and husband Charles of Stilwell, OK, Rebecca Smith of Missouri, Clint Joe Smith and wife Krissy of Peublo, CO, Mahalie Mathews and husband Billy of Westville, OK, 16 grandchildren and he loved them all, 7 great grandsons and 2 on the way. Siblings; Wanda Jo Miller and husband Bob of Liberty, OK, Janice Wilson and husband Calvin of Stilwell, OK, Nancy Sue Morphis and Jimmy Lee Smith both of Bunch,OK, 2 special friends; Jack and Jimmy DeLaughter, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bunch Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Newberry officiating. Interment followed in the Smith family cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
