Betty Jean Sharp Smith 76, of Bartlesville, OK., passed away at her residence after an extended illness on January 4, 2008 with her family by her side.
Betty was born on February 9, 1931 in Stilwell, OK., to Jim and Jennie (Foreman) Sharp.
She married Harry Lee Smith in 1956.
Betty is survived by her sister, Inola Mae and husband Bill Highfill of Tulsa, OK., three daughters; Duronda Smith of McKinnery, TX., Darla and husband Mark Polk of Owasso, OK., and Dora and husband Wes Patzkowski of Oklahoma City, OK., her grandchildren, Celeste Smith, Josua Patzkowski, Amy Patzkowski, Alison Polk, Hailee Polk, and great granddaughter Chloe Nicole Leonard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life Harry Lee Smith, her beloved uncle Alex Foreman and four sisters; Nina Mae Folsom, Fannie Gann, Emma Sharp, and Von Dale Sharp.
There will be a private intement service for family and close friends followed by a memorial and celebration service for all at the First Baptist Church in Barlesville, OK., at 10:30 am Tuesday. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
