Gene Smalle, a resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma passed away in Durant, Oklahoma on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the age of 74.
He was born on February 18, 1941 in Durant, Oklahoma to Willie Euine and Mary Isabelle Martin Smalle.
Gene served in the Army Reserves.
He had been employed by Brown and Root Construction, Durant Concrete and Block and the Durant Livestock Auction.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but he especially loved his dogs. He was the kind of person who always had something to say, some say he had the "gift of gab".
Mr. Smalle is survived by his brother, Willie Smalle of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Betty Evans and husband Skip of Crowder, Oklahoma, Virginia Adams and fiancé Chance Reagan of Maryville, Tennessee and Sarah Looney of Bokchito, Oklahoma; sons, Bryan Smalle of Hugo, Oklahoma, Terry Smalle of Helena, Oklahoma, Edward Smalle of Bokchito, Oklahoma and Andrew Smalle of Lexington, Oklahoma; and fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Smalle was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Smalle; twin sons, Casey and Stacey Smalle and son-in-laws, Richard Nesmith and Darren "Scott" Parrish.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Jesse West officiating.
