Memorial services for Wilburn Ike Slaton will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Corinth Baptist Church in Ft. Towson with Pastor Dave Roe officiating.

Wilburn Ike Slaton was born November 21, 1960, in San Diego, California, to Harold Eugine and Sammie (Scroggins) Slaton. He passed from this life January 30, 2014, in Idabel, Oklahoma, at the age of 53. Ike met Wanda Billings whom became his lifelong partner. He had lived in Valliant his whole life and was of the Baptist Faith. Ike enjoyed fishing, hunting, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Sammie Slaton; aunt Frankie Byrd.

He is survived by his lifelong partner: Wanda Billings of the home; children: Brandon Carden and wife Charity from Haratio, Arkansas, Teddy Armer and wife Erica of Valliant, Tatum Field of Idabel, Johnathon Slayton Phillips of Valliant;his siblings: Jo Bob Slaton of Valliant, Kim Hartamen of Swink, Oklahoma, William Hartamen of Valliant, Earl Hartamen of Ruff, Oklahoma, Reba Echols of Broken Bow, Sheri Bunn of Wright City, Oklahoma, Virginia Carter of Valliant, Rex Obanan, Pam Obanan and Bobby Joe Slaton of Texas; seven grandchildren: Landon Ike, Kaden Blaze, Joseph Lee Carden, Tristain Marie, Cody, Kaily and Jaylen Field; stepmother: Joan Slaton of Valliant; special friends: Louie Wright and wife Carrie of Wright City, Oklahoma, Charlie Lambert of Valliant and Tim Smith of Valliant; numerous sisters-in law and brother's-in-law; as well as many other relatives and friends.
