Ute (Eberhardt) Skinner

Ute Skinner, age 72 of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, surrounded by her family at home. Ute Eberhardt was born December 8, 1942 in Rehborn, Germany, 1 of 2 daughters born to Kurt Eberhardt and Lini (Steeb) Eberhardt. She was raised in Germany and attended school there.

Ute married young and this marriage brought her to Oklahoma. She began a job with Oklahoma City Public Schools, retiring nearly 20 years later in Administration. Ute later married Allan Keith Skinner and two families became one. They made their home in Lexington. Ute cherished her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved being outdoors and spent many hours tending to her flower garden. She especially loved pansies. Ute loved animals and welcomed in many strays. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife and mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a true friend.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Kurt and Lini Eberhardt and An infant sister.

Ute leaves behind: Her husband, Allen Skinner of the home; 3 daughters, Yvonne Gentry of St. Paul, MN, Tanya Estell of Lexington and Belinda Skinner of Shawnee; 3 sons, Clifford Berkley III of OKC, Curt Berkley and wife Rochelle of Wausau, WI and Chris Skinner of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Derek Berkley of Wausau, WI, C.J. Berkley and wife Kayleigh of Norman, Caleb Berkley of Norman and Kinley Hess of Shawnee; 1 great grandson, Robbie Berkley of Norman; Mother and father-in-law, Connie and Navoy Skinner of Wanette and A host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 10, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Arrangements by Wilson-Little of Purcell.
