Evelyn Jeanette Skinner, 76, died peacefully at her home in Sunset, TX on Sunday, September 26th, 202 with her family by her side.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the First Baptist Church of Sunset on Wednesday, September 29th, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Charles Reed officiating.
Burial will follow at the Smyrna Cemetery in Sunset TX, with pallbearers Cody Passmore, Shane Clapp, Trey Tyson, Bryson Skinner, Nathan Skinner, and Wyatt Miller.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.
Evelyn was born April 13 1945 in Floydada, TX to Floyd Ray Fowler and Arnice (Crowley) Fowler. She moved from Sunset, TX to Enid, OK in 1978. She lived in Enid, OK and Mustang, OK until returning to Sunset, TX in May of 2021. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grand kids. She also enjoyed cruising, camping, thrift stores and an occasional trip to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Fowler, mother Arnice Cork, and sister Brenda Joyce Fowler.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 46 years Donald Skinner; brother Kenneth Fowler of Bowie, TX; sons Mark Passmore and wife Fonda of Enid, OK, Jeremy Skinner and wife Emily of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; daughters Tonia Robertson of the home and Sonia Skinner of Enid OK; eight grandkids, Cody Passmore, April Slowik, Misty Skinner, Shane Clapp, Trey Tyson, Bryson Skinner, Brooke Skinner and Ethan Skinner; five great-grand children Nathan Skinner, Alyna Skinner, Ava Cook, Wyatt Miller, and Waylon Clapp; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
