Danny Paul Skinner was born on October 17,1967 in Denison, Texas to Larry and Katrinka Kelsey Skinner. He passed from this life at home and gained his wings on Thursday December 5,2024. He is survived by his mom Katrinka of the home in Achille. His daughter, Linzie Browning and husband Sonny, plus his princess Averie of Hugh Springs, TX. His FAVORITE sister Robin Woods and husband Gary of Tishomingo. Nieces: Danielle Dameron-Broom and husband Taylor of Ada. Stephanie Harper and husband Christopher of Madill. Nephew: Timothy Dameron of Ada. Elevated sisters Pam Grider and fiancé Ovid of Achille and Ginger Fields of Achille. Brother in law Emmitt Samples and wife Mary of Lake of the Pines, TX. Aunts Dolly Nichols and husband Joe, Achille. Shirley Sinor of Hendrix and Mildred Donohue of Moses Lake, WA. Plus numerous cousins and other relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his father Larry in 2016.
Danny Paul grew up in Achille where he attended school for 13 years from k-12 grades graduated in 1985. Following graduation he worked various jobs with his last job being in concrete work and construction until he fell off of a ladder and broke both of his heels rendering him unable to work. His full time occupation since the death of his daddy in 2016 has been taking care of momma. It’s like the blind leading the blind but it worked with a little help.
He was proud when he became an uncle in 1992, prouder when he became a Daddy in 1999 but his proudest title was Papa that he attained last year.
Danny Paul is the great grandson of original enrollee Benjamin Jackson Grinslade. He was proud to be a Chickasaw citizen.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday afternoon December 8, 2024 at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert. A Chapel Service will follow Monday afternoon 2:00 p.m. December 9, 2024 with Pastor Roger Speers officiating. Cremation will follow.
