Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 4th at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for David Frank Skidmore, 59, of Ketchikan, Alaska, who passed away October 31, 2004 in a Bakersfield hospital. Services will be conducted by Clif Calderwood.
Mr. Skidmore was born October 23, 1945 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Bakersfield prior to serving in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Crimestoppers and the American Legion Post in Ketchikan, and had been the owner/operator of McDonald's in Ketchikan for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lee M. Skidmore; son, David L. Skidmore, both of Ketchikan, AK; daughter, Corrie Chambers and her husband, Clif of Bakersfield; brother, Fred Skidmore and his wife, Linda of Taft; and many nieces and nephews.
No visitation is scheduled.
