Gregory Alan “Greg” Sitsler
November 14, 1961 ~ January 2, 2025

Gregory “Greg” Alan Sistler was born on November 14, 1961, in Pryor, OK, to U.J. & Ruth (Lumpton) Sistler. He passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 63.

A lifelong resident of Mayes County, Greg lived in both Salina & Locust Grove. On May 17, 1996, he married Donna Jo Price in Burnet, TX. In 1998, they returned to the Salina area to continue building their life together.

Greg was a dedicated & hardworking concrete finisher, known for his meticulous attention to detail & pride in his craft. His perfectionism was evident in every project he undertook. He also devoted his life to his faith, beginning his ministry at the age of 19, preaching on the streets of Salina. His boldness in sharing the Gospel earned him the nickname “Street Preacher,” & he was widely respected as a true man of God.

Greg had a knack for crafting & carving walking canes, generously gifting them to others over the years. He loved the outdoors, spending time hunting deer, rabbits, & squirrels, and he was an avid fisherman who even crafted his own sinkers. Greg also enjoyed ATV adventures & cherished quiet moments watching Star Trek or listening to Jimmy Swaggart. Known for his humor & rhyming wit, he brought joy to those around him.

Above all, Greg was a devoted family man. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & loved ones, always with a glass of sweet tea in hand. Greg will be remembered for his steadfast faith, giving heart, & unwavering love for his family.

Greg is survived by: his wife, Donna, of the home; 6 children: Veronica Sitsler & fiancé Gavin Harris, of Locust Grove, OK, J Sitsler & wife Shelby of Salina, OK, Stephen Sitsler & Daiy of Locust Grove, OK, Brandi Ebers of husband Jeremy of Locust Grove, OK, Eric Parker & wife Kasey of Woodward, OK, and Cameron Sitsler of Locust Grove, OK; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; His Father: U.J. Sitsler of Locust Grove, OK; 3 brothers: James Sitsler of Locust Grove, OK, Jack Sitsler of Salina, OK, & Jeff Sitsler of Locust Grove, OK.

Greg was preceded in death by: his mother; 3 sisters: Jeanette Stipes, Juanita Taylor, & Terry Nolen, 1 brother: Michael Sitsler, & 1 granddaughter: Riley Jane Sitsler.

A private family gathering to celebrate Greg’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the care of Locust Grove Funeral Home.
