Wanda Simpson, 68, of Meridian, Oklahoma, passed away on December 25, 2014. She was born to Lee Dyer and Marie Brown in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 22, 1946.
Wanda was raised in the Oklahoma City area. In 1979, she married Orvell Simpson and made a home in Edmond. In 1990, she moved to Meridian, Oklahoma.
Wanda was an animal lover. She raised swans. She also enjoyed attending family gatherings, gardening, and going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Marie Dyer; brother Glen Dyer; and sister Carol Lilliguard.
Wanda is survived by her husband Orvell; sons Ron Alspaugh, Jim Dorrough, and Will Dorrough; step-sons Jason Simpson and Casey Simpson; daughters Sheila Coots and Sandra Alspaugh; sister Gloria Priday; 11 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2:00p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Services have been entrusted to the care of Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens.
