Cletus Ann (Ward) Simpson
May 6, 1942 ~ February 22, 2023 | 80 Years Old

Cletus Ann (Ward) Simpson was born May 6, 1942 in Kilgore, Texas to Howard and Hazel Ward. She passed away February 22, 2023 in her home in Davenport at the age of 80.

Cletus grew up in Davenport where she graduated high school with the class of 1960. She retired from Mercury Marine following 27 years of service. Cletus was a lifetime member of the Route 66 Association promoting businesses along the Mother Road. She enjoyed garage sales, Wal-Mart, and traveling.

Cletus was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Hazel Ward; brothers, Lee Ward, Bruce Ward, Michael Ward; sister, Nancy (Ward) Murray; son, Kevin Crary and infant daughter, LeAnna Crary. Survivors include her sons, John Crary and wife Angie, David Crary and wife Carol Ann; daughter, Valerie Crary all of Davenport; 9 grandchildren; a busload of great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Davenport Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
