Karen Gwynn Simmons, 63, of Roberta, passed from this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at her residence. Karen was born Thursday, January 7, 1960 in Denison, Texas to Jack Hardin Hill and Melba Leflora (Moran) Hill.
Karen was raised and attended school in Caddo. She married James R. Simmons on August 22, 1980 in Caddo and just celebrated their 43rd anniversary this past week. Karen worked as a bookkeeper for Shamrock Bank in Caddo for 17 years. She enjoyed gardening, photographing wildlife, and loved the outdoors. Karen and James are of the Baptist faith.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Melba (Moran) Hill; and a brother, Danny Hill.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Simmons of the home; daughters, Amber Tilles and her husband, Mike of Durant, and Audrey Simmons of Durant; her father, Jack Hill of Caddo; brother, Dale Hill of Caddo; sisters, Debbie Oller and her husband, Don of Caddo, and Stacie Robinson and her husband, Mike of Caddo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
