Lesli Joan Silvers, 69, of Ponca City Oklahoma passed away on July 10, 2023 in Ponca City. Born on October 20th 1953 in Ponca City, Lesli was the daughter of Helen and Eugene Bookout. Lesli was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lesli attended school in Ponca City as a child and after high school she attended Ponca City Beauty College. Her career began as a beautician and she owned her own salon for several years in Ponca City, she dedicated her time and talent to making people feel beautiful.
As a child Lesli had a love for horses and hose riding. She also enjoyed family vacations and camping in Arkansas and Missouri with her parents and siblings. She also enjoyed throughout her life going to rodeos, concerts, and listening to music.
Lesli was a fun-loving and generous individual who brought joy to those around her. She had a jovial spirit and was known for her friendly nature. She was a true friend to many. In her later years Lesli had a passion for jewelry making, bead work and crocheting, using her creative talents to craft beautiful pieces. Her creations were cherished by many, showcasing her creativity and craftmanship.
Lesli leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her two daughters, Lerisa Dershem of Blackwell OK, Linsi Hastings and her husband Bobby Hastings of Edmond OK, Lesli also is survived by her sister Barbara Auld of Ponca City, and brother Steven Bookout of Ponca City. She was a loving grandmother to Shelby Ritchie, Alana Ramsey, Joshua Ramsey, Ryder Ritchie, Briana Ramsey, Brooklyn Hastings, Huntington Hastings and Reagan Ramsey as well as a doting great grand-mother to Maisie, Liam and Magnolia, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Lesli was proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents. Their loving presence will be missed.
