Celebration of Life Service for Mavis Arlene Siewert, 87, of Enid, will be Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Graceway Baptist Church, with the Rev. Craig Bruyn officiating. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with the family present will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 at the funeral home.
Mavis was born February 22, 1933, in Elgin, Iowa, to Erwin Arthur and Sena Mae Lubben Miller and passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020, in Enid.
She grew up in Iowa and graduated from Hampton High School and from Business School in Minneapolis, MN.
On June 20, 1955, Mavis married Wendell Siewert in Sheffield, Iowa. She was a wonderful housewife and cook. She also worked for the Garfield County Election Board and was a Watkins Spice representative. Mavis loved square dancing, football, and basketball, especially the Oklahoma City Thunder. She was a member of Graceway Baptist Church.
Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wendell and son Brad Siewert.
She is survived by her children, Wendy Siewert-Nestor, Jeffrey Siewert, daughter-in-law Sally Siewert; six grandchildren, Paige (Clark), Zach (Courtney), Ashleigh (Wayne), Korie, Isabella, and Nicco; three great-grandchildren Lincoln, Ralph and Hugh; brother James Miller (Kay), and brother-in-law Sheldon Siewert (Joy); other relatives and many friends.
