Linda Kay (Farmer) Sides passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 68, in Durant, Oklahoma. She was born on August 2, 1957, in Stringtown, Oklahoma to Jack and Joan (Knight) Farmer. She married Kim Sides in Atoka, Oklahoma in August of 1984.
Granny Linda loved to cook for everyone. She was a cook for many different cafes in Oklahoma, but in her later years she worked at Wheeler’s Café and Granny’s Café. Everyone called her “Granny Linda” and she will be greatly missed by all her grandbabies.
Left behind to cherish Linda’s memory is her husband of 41 years, Kim of the home, her two sons Donavan Sides of Caddo, Oklahoma, and Jimmie Holstine and his wife Mindy Ridgeway, along with special children Crystal Smith and Craig Owens. Grandchildren include Trisha Holstine and spouse Mandy Herrington, and Tamara Moreland and her husband Dobber Moreland, Leland Ridgeway, and Kelton Ridgeway. Special grandchildren include Stone Mullican and his parents Mariah and Dylan Mullican, Maddox Capps and his mother Ozella Capps, Rosaline Mendez, Haislee Mendez, Emmanuel Mendez, and their parents Heidi and Ernest Mendez, Jackson Ybarra, and Madden Herrington, along with one great-grandson Dawson.
