Robert Lee “Bob” Shouse
September 25, 1950 ~ December 12, 2021

Robert Lee “Bob” Shouse of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away on December 12, 2021, at his home at the age of 71 years.

Robert Lee Shouse was born on September 25, 1950, in Blackwell, Oklahoma the son of Robert J. Shouse and Joyce Jeanette (Rancier) Shouse. He attended Blackwell Public Schools, and NOC in Tonkawa. Following his education he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, serving his country for over 21 years.

While he was stationed at Cape Disappointment in Ilwaco, Washington he met the love of his life, Peggy Kopplien. The two were married on July 17, 1983. She survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Joyce Price (Robert) of Enid, Oklahoma and Jenny Shouse of Ponca City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Austin Futo, Tommy Futo, Sierra Shouse, Christopher Powers, Alexis Powers and Jocelyn Rivera; and one great-grandson, Owen Futo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jeanette Duke.

Bob loved spending time with his family, motorcycles, and fast old cars. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.

The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening, January 3, 2022, at Roberts and Son Funeral Home.

Mass of resurrection will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Blackwell with Father Balaswamy Bathini officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to VFW Post 2855, sent in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
