Samuel Everett "Sam" Shore
March 9, 1940 ~ September 3, 2020

Samuel (Sam) Everett Shore, 80, of Cedar Park, TX, passed away on September 3, 2020, after an extended illness.

The memorial service will be postponed until the Covid-19 pandemic subsides and we can come together to celebrate his life.

Sam was born in Lovell, OK, on March 9, 1940. He graduated from Guthrie High School and received a Bachelor of Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK. Sam was married to Kathy (Roberts) Shore on August 1, 1958; they were married for 60 years.

Sam worked as an educator for 45 years. He coached girls' basketball and taught math, computers, and continuing education/GED classes. Sam and Kathy taught students in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Samoa, Oklahoma and Texas. Sam enjoyed woodworking, coffee, traveling to exciting destinations, and singing tenor in quartets and the church choir. He was always active in church.

Sam is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Shore; his mother and step-father, Irene (Welden) and Floyd Kittley; his father and step-mother, Virgil and Jessie Shore; sister, Barbara (Kittley) Stevens; daughter, Cara Jean (Shore) Todd and granddaughter, Nichole Hiddleston.

Sam is survived by his children and their spouses, Joyce Shore of Oklahoma City, OK; James Shore of Los Angeles, CA, Sam (Corey) Shore of Utah, Troy and Mary Shore of Leander, TX, Renee and Jacob Knorpp of Joplin, MO; siblings and their spouses, Virgene and Roland Ficken of Tuscaloosa, AL, Harold and Arlene Shore of Enid, OK; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
