Robert Curtis "Bob" Sholar, of Pauls Valley, OK passed away at the age of 75 on July 8, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was taken too soon after a short fight against COVID 19.
Bob was born September 1, 1944 in Pryor Creek, Oklahoma to J.C. Sholar and Ann (Sorrels) Sholar. He grew up in the Oklahoma City area and following his graduation from Northeast High School became a proud OSU Cowboy where he ran track and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Journalism/Radio and TV. He was an active member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Pauls Valley.
Bob never met a stranger and his heart was as big at the state of Montana where he loved fly-fishing and spending time in the great outdoors with his wife of 56 years, Patricia Gayle (Pierson) Sholar. Following Bob on almost all of his many adventures, were his numerous schnauzers whom he loved almost as much as his four non-furry children.
Bob was proceeded in death by his parents, J.C. and Ann Sholar, and his brother Tommy Sholar.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia Sholar, 4 children, Bret Sholar and wife Angela of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Curt Sholar and wife Susan of Billings, Montana, Susan Sholar Hanny and husband Kimball of Denver, Colorado, and Sarah Sholar Landry of Billings, Montana; 10 grandchildren- Elizabeth, Abby, Rain, Kate, Madeline, Shawnee, Ben, Brendan, Griffin, and Jeff, and 1 great grandson, Dylan.
