Stanley Leroy Shivers
July 24, 1938 ~ December 6, 2024

Stanley L. Shivers, 86 year old Mooreland resident, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at his home in Mooreland. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Stanley LeRoy Shivers was born on July 24, 1938 in Talmage, Kansas to Gerald and Virginia (Pickering) Shivers. He grew up in Milford, Kansas and graduated from Milford High School. He was inducted into the United States Army in 1964. He served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Stanley was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Glessner on June 21, 1964 in Junction City, Kansas. They made their first home in Junction City and later lived in Salina, Kansas, Overland Park, Kansas and Mooreland, Oklahoma. He worked in Sales until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Shivers of the home; Tory Shivers and wife Whitney, Tony Shivers and wife Jane; one daughter, Tara Butts and husband Adam; two brothers, Jim Shivers, Jerry Shivers; 10 grandchildren: Tory Shivers Jr., Samantha and Manuel Ortega, Zachary and Jalyn Shivers, Everly Shivers, Josephine Shivers, Sydnie Butts, Nathanial Butts, and Peyton Butts; 10 great-grandchildren: Eli, Jakob, Max, Gabe, Ruby, Payden, Samuel, Reagen, Easton, and Jaxton; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother and his younger brother.
