Fred William Shields passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in Tulsa, OK surrounded by family. Born on January 8, 1950 in Stroud, OK, Fred was 71 years old.

Fred was one of 11 children of Ralph and Winfred G. (Thomas) Shields. He was a 1968 graduate of Stroud High School. Fred was a self-made man who was a mentor to many. To Fred nothing was impossible. He owned and operated Shields Well Service since 1980. He was a man of faith who deeply loved his family. Fred had a magnetic personality; it didn’t matter where he was people were drawn to him. He made friends everywhere he went especially with his positivity and humor. Fred was a lover of all things, if he was doing something, he gave it his all. He was so adventurous and loved to live life to the fullest. Fred enjoyed the horse races and also traveling. He loved traveling so much he even visited all 50 states. Fred was one of few that could say he really checked everything off his bucket list. Fred was a winner!

Fred was preceded in death by his father and mother Ralph and Winfred Shields and his grandparents Les and Lena Thomas; his brothers Jimmy, Tommy, Phil and Rickey Shields.

He is survived by his daughters Melissa Shields and Rachel Scott; his grandchildren Trinity Scott and Valen Scott; his siblings Gary Shields, Mike Shields, Leslie Shields, Diane McMillian, Sue May and Annita Vandever

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud, OK. Condolences may be offered online at http://www.parksbrothers.net. Care Services are provided by Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
