Celebration of life service for Faye Ann Shepherd, 75, of Dover, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at World Harvest Church with Pastor Mike Sturgeon and Pastor Damond Burpo (grandson) officiating. Service is under the kind guidance of Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Faye was born Dec. 26, 1936, in Bridgeton, Maine, to Harold and Myrtle Foster Graffam and passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at her residence. She was raised in Bridgeton, Maine, then moved to Farmington, N.M., where she met and married George Wilson "Buck" Shepherd. In 1972, Faye and Buck moved to Dover, where she was a homemaker and volunteered at Dover Public Schools. Faye was also a member of World Harvest Church of Enid.
Survivors include her husband, Buck of the residence; son, Jay Shepherd of Calumet; daughters, Denise (Tommy) Fletcher of Enid, Valarie (Bill) Tillman of Hennessey, Holly (Cody) Drake of Enid, Tami Streit (Peter) of Frisco, Texas, Kelley (David) Byington of Enid, Wendy Shepherd of Frisco, Texas, and Kristy (Jason) Benites of Dover; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Gertrude Cole of Bridgeton, Maine.
Faye was preceded in passing by her parents, three sisters, one brother and granddaughhter, Jessica Loftis.
The family has selected World Harvest Church as appropriate for memorial donations with the Stittsworth family coordinating. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworth funeralservices.com.
