December 19, 1953 ~ November 13, 2024

Ronald Dean Sheffield was born Saturday, December 19th, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma to William Franklin Sheffield and Nova Mae (Smithey) Whitecotton and passed from this life on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 in Durant at the age of 70.

Ronald grew up and went to school in Durant. He was employed with Rustin Concrete for 22 years before owning and operating his own backhoe service for 19 years retiring in 2007 due to losing his eyesight. Ronald enjoyed working and operating heavy equipment.

Ronald was a simple man. He loved being around his family and eating all kinds of foods. Ronald was not a fisherman or hunter but his work was relaxation for him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; and sons Ron and Scottie Sheffield.

He is survived by his sister, Vickie Branch (Roy) and children Jesse, Jason, and Justin Farrell; children Robbie Sheffield (Nori) and children Rachel, Robbie, and Zoey Grace, Joey Sheffield (Nicole) and children Joey, Alivia, Ariel, and Paul, Marsha DeVaughn and daughter Paige Hicks, Trina Sheffield (Freddie Parrott) and children Andrew, Audrey, Kalli, and Aon, Buddy Drinnon and children Madison, Kaleigh, Ian, Layla, and Kensi; many great-grandchildren, and brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

The family will have private services at a later date.
