Michael Lynn Sheffield

Michael Lynn Sheffield
October 14, 1954 ~ September 03, 2017

Michael Lynn Sheffield was born October 14, 1954, in Enid, Oklahoma. He lived in Billings, OK, through the 2nd grade and then lived in Enid with his family until his graduation from Enid High School.

Mike enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduation and was honorably discharged in 1976. Mike met the love of his life Cindy Seyfert Sheffield while in Wichita, and they married on January 14, 1978. They resided in Wichita, KS until 1987 when they moved to Edmond, OK.

Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially loved to bow hunt deer in Kansas with friends. He was a huge University of Oklahoma fan and was pleased when his daughter Nicole chose to attend there.

Mike was a godly man who loved the Lord and daily lived out his Christian faith as a witness to others. He was a family man who loved his wife and daughter and delighted in them and their activities. He was a devoted husband, dad, son, and brother.

He truly enjoyed his coworkers and loved his job and the many people he came in contact with through his work.

Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cindy Seyfert Sheffield; daughter, Nicole Sheffield Thompson and husband Justin (JT) Thompson of Wichita, KS; parents, Bob L. Sheffield and Joann Price Sheffield of Enid, OK; a sister, Valerie Sheffield McCamey and husband Buddy of Enid; and a brother, Tony Sheffield and wife Eileen of Maypearl, TX. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Steven Puckett, Matt Puckett and wife Chelsea, Brandon McCamey and wife Mandy, Nicholas Sheffield and wife Ally, and Kelsi Sheffield Voorheis and husband Justice; as well as countless friends and relatives.

A come-and-go visitation and reception will be 5:30-7:30pm on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Crawford Funeral Service, Edmond.

A service celebrating Mike's life will be at 1:30pm on Friday, September 8th at Henderson Hills Baptist Church.
