Janette (Davis) Shaw

July 25, 1935 ~ Nov. 19, 2007

Janette Shaw, 72, of Canyon died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in University Church of Christ with David Lough, minister, officiating. Private burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Janette was born July 25, 1935, in Marietta, Okla., to Norton and Maggie Bone Davis. She married Latrelle Shaw on Jan. 19, 1953, in Marietta. She was a member of University Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and Tuesday, Thursday school. She will be fondly remembered as chauffeur to all school activities for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Latrelle Shaw; two daughters, Lee Ann Shaw of Canyon and Rebekah Sellers and husband David of Abilene; a son, Bill Shaw and wife Amber of San Antonio; a sister, Maudine Springs of Gainesville; seven grandchildren, Nique Allen, Shaun and Jared Wesley, Maggie and Jackson Sellers and Madilyn and Sydney Shaw.

The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, P.O. Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114-7448.

The family will receive friends on from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel.
